How will being tested make a difference to me?
This site contains HIV prevention messages that may not be appropriate for all audiences.
If you are negative…
…you may still test positive at a later date if your exposure has occurred in the last 3 months.
…and your exposure occurred more than 3 months ago, you are very lucky. Don’t count on luck in the future! NOW is the time to change your behaviors:
· Use a condom every time, for every sex act, or don’t have sex!
· Don’t share needles!
…it is your responsibility to protect your partners—current and past.
…you still need to protect yourself. Repeated exposure to the virus increases the occurrence of AIDS symptoms.
There are many services available to help you live longer.
