Franklin-Williamson Bi-County Health Department Is Offering
Immunization Walk-in Clinics for All Children
Marion & Benton, Illinois - Franklin-Williamson Bi-County Health Department will be offering walk-in immunization clinics for children of all ages at both health department locations, 8160 Express Drive, Marion AND 403 East Park, Benton. These walk-in clinics will be held EVERY Wednesday in June, July, and August from 8:30 am – 11 am and 1 pm – 3 pm. No appointments are needed. All children under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian, and an up-to-date immunization record is required to obtain immunizations.
Don’t wait until the last minute to receive your child’s state-required immunizations for school. Vaccines are among the most successful and cost-effective public health tools available for preventing disease and death. They not only help protect vaccinated individuals, but also help protect entire communitites by preventing and reducing the spread of infectious diseases. Vaccine-preventable diseases still circulate in the Unites States and around the world, so continued vaccination is necessary to protect everyone from potential outbreaks.
Immunizations are one of the best ways parents can protect their children against serious diseases. Parents are encouraged to talk to their children’s health care provider to ensure that their child is up-to-date on immunizations. Immunization is a shared responsibility. Family, health care professionals, and public health officials must work together to help protect the entire community.
As a reminder, the Benton office offers walk-in late clinics for immunizations the first and third Tuesdays of every month from 4-6 pm, and Marion office on the first and third Thursdays of every month from 4-6 pm. Bi-County Health accepts the Illinois Public Aid medical card, cash, check, and credit/debit cards (MasterCard, VISA, Discover) for immunization services.
If an appointment is preferred, for more information on walk-in clinics, or to determine what immunization is required/recommended, please contact Franklin-Williamson Bi-County Health Department at (618) 993-8111 or (618) 439-0951.
